Princess Vitarah, Nigerian-American rappe known for the vulgarity of her lyrics, has taken to social media to announce that she is rebranding.
She noted that there is no need to sexualize herself in a bid to be appreciated and celebrated.
Princess Vitarah began her career by releasing music through the internet in early 2016. She earned public recognition after her song, “Nigerian P*ssy” went viral on video-sharing sites like YouTube and Facebook, receiving 4 million views in the first day alone.
Her decision comes on the heels of top Nigerian singer, Chidinma Ekile announced her switch from secular to gospel music and D’Banj declaring that he is born again.
Taking to her Twitter account on Tuesday, Vitarah wrote: ”I deleted all my old music and I am rebranding myself. I don’t have to hypersexualize myself in order to be successful.”
She has also released a video for one of her new songs which advises ladies to shun nudity and loose lifestyles and embrace the word of God.
